Mr Alfred (Alfie) McGinness
It is with great sadness the McGinness family would like to announce the peaceful passing of Alfred McGinness (Alfie) at Greenfield Park nursing home on the 22nd of April 2020. Alfie was born in Youngstown Ohio, USA, on the 18th of May 1929, Son of Thomas and Gertrude and was one of 7 brothers and 3 sisters. He was married for over 60 years to Annie McGinness who passed away 4 years ago. He is survived by 5 Children: John, Eammon, Gerrard, Eileen and Desmond, Grandchildren: John Martin, Christopher, Anna and Meg and Great Granddaughters Ellie, Leah and Martha Jane. Alfie lived a full and happy life in Stepps and dedicated over 60 years to St Joseph’s parish and the St Vincent De Paul. He was a one-off character who will be dearly missed.
