Porteous Family Funeral Directors are one of the few remaining family-run, independent funeral directors in Edinburgh and the Lothians.

There are now two generations of the Porteous family in the Company. Mark, his wife Yvonne and son Grant work with a dedicated team of staff, who between them have many years’ experience within the funeral profession.
Since opening our first funeral home in Juniper Green in 2006, our reputation has grown through personal recommendation and we now have a number of additional funeral homes throughout Edinburgh and the Lothians.
We are a member of SAIF (Society of Allied & Independent Funeral Directors) and NAFD (National Association of Funeral Directors) and abide strictly by their individual Codes of Practice. This gives our families reassurance that our standards of conduct are regulated and regularly monitored.
