About Us

Originating from Vicarage Road as Charles Taylor Funeral Directors, the company continues trading as N E Downing (Blackheath) Ltd. and is based on the corner of Long Lane and Feldon Lane just outside Blackheath. Having moved to its current position in 1986, we have long looked after the local community of Romsley, Halesowen, Quinton and Blackheath. While featuring prominently from the road, inside all funeral arrangements can be made in a relaxed and calming environment.

The staff on hand will guide you through all the necessary arrangements needed to be made and in one visit, what initially may appear a daunting task, will be looked after and arranged for you. Furthermore, we will look after all other aspects of the funeral arrangements; newspaper notices, flowers and catering to name a few.

The office is open Monday to Friday, 9am till 5pm.
