John Grenfell & Son Funeral Directors (formerly D. Davies Est 1880) are an independent family firm from four generations of undertakers. As one of the few independent, family Funeral Directors remaining John Grenfell & Son attend to families in Bedlington, Ashington, Blyth and Morpeth areas.

John Grenfell & Son are the original Grenfell Funeral Directors and are the only undertakers with the Grenfell name locally owned.
The dedicated team at John Grenfell & Son includes Managing Director John Lisle Grenfell, Operations Manager Iain Elliot, an undertaker since 1999 and Chris Cholerton an undertaker since 2013.
We provide help and support 24 hours a day and can visit families at their own homes to arrange and advise on any aspect of a funeral required.
