About Us
Jill, Peter, Claire, Teresa and staff offer a friendly, personal and professional service, and are available 24 hours a day when you need them the most. They understand that this is a very difficult time for you and provide a very tender and caring service.
Jill, Peter, Claire and our Trainee Teresa can tailor the service to exactly what you require whether it is a traditional church service, non-religious, cremation or burial, a horse-drawn hearse, colourful and environmentally friendly green burials. Jill, Peter and Claire can advise you and make all the arrangements on your behalf, this incudes all paperwork, Order of Service, newspaper notices, flowers, funeral tea, live streaming, anything at all.
I have lived in the village of Dalston with my family for several years. From a very young age my ambition has always been to become a Funeral Director and after almost 24 years in Pathology, I decided it was time to fulfil my dream. I have worked for Walker's, Michael Walsh and John Tremble Funeral Directors (part of the Dignity Group) previously but when the opportunity came up for me to become an Independent Funeral Director I felt the time was right.
During my time before becoming a Funeral Director I also volunteered at Eden Valley Hospice helping provide respite care, love and attention to patients and their families. I have previously worked as a Health Care Assistant on the wards at the Cumberland Infirmary along side my post in Pathology.
The knowledge I have gained during my time in Pathology liaising very closely with Her/His Majesty's Coroner, GP's, families, Bereavement Services and Funeral Directors has proved invaluable.
We are available 24 hours to offer a friendly, personal, caring and professional service. You will not get care like this anywhere else, guaranteed. We are the only NAFD & SAIF Accredited Funeral Director in this area also.
