Gilmore Funeral Directors is an independent family business run by Ken Gilmore Dip. F.D. MBIFD who has over 40 years of experience in comforting and assisting the bereaved. Established in 1987, Ken has remained independent for three decades in the face of corporate buy outs which has enabled him to keep the cost of a funeral as much as 35% lower than the corporate groups. Ken is devoted to giving a personal and sympathetic service to all clients and is one of the few fully qualified Funeral Directors in Northern Ireland to practice.

Gilmore Funeral Directors advise on all aspects of arranging a funeral, such as the service, notices, floral tributes, memorials, orders of service and donations, and can accommodate all wishes. Located on The Square in Comber, Ken’s facilities include a contemporary, custom-built memorial hall, accommodating over 100 people, which provides a beautiful, tranquil environment in which families and friends can hold services of thanksgiving.

Ken has remained passionate about serving all members of the community and although his premises are in Comber, Gilmore Funeral Directors provide a service for all areas 24/7/365. Most importantly, Ken is committed to putting the needs and wishes of his clients at the centre of his approach, as reflected in the company’s motto: ‘Our family looking after your family when you need us most.’
