About Us
The Thomas family began the business in 1956 serving the local community of Pembroke Dock and District. In 2001 under the new ownership of Stewart and Elizabeth Treharne, the business progressed into a reputable and recognised company in South Pembrokeshire offering something unique for the locality. Incorporating the profound values of honesty, trust and professionalism, and offering an exclusive service for families and their loved ones, the family business now includes their son, Daniel. At the Llanteg premises a private chapel of rest offers a facility for funeral services with an adjoining woodland garden of remembrance situated in the beautiful countryside of Pembrokeshire. The Pembroke premises, a short distance from the medieval castle, is a recent addition to the business. Here clients can call in and discuss funeral arrangements in pleasant and private surroundings. There is also a selection of memorials on display in their showroom for clients to view. They aim to offer a totally bespoke arrangement to each family they support, incorporating personalised order of service and condolence books, acknowledgement cards, newspaper entries and photographic montage. A Jaguar fleet provides each client with luxurious comfort for transport needs whilst horse-drawn and other alternative forms of transport can be arranged. Floral Tributes and refreshments can also be arranged on the client's behalf. As part of the extended care towards the families they serve, a service of remembrance is held each Christmas at their private chapel where loved ones are remembered. A dedicated professional team provides a 24 hour service to be there for families in their time of need and to support them in a caring and dignified manner. With a full-time team of four funeral directors, and three part-time admin staff, the family business now looks set to continue well into the future, as the next generation becomes involved in the running of the business.
