About Us
The business was opened by Alexander Buchan (Zander) and has since become a well-established, independent firm dedicated to providing quality services and high standards. Ian Buchan took over in 1996 from his father, John M. Buchan (John Mull) and grandfather (Zander) and in 2010, he decided to open a second funeral home in Mintlaw, Buchan Funeral Directors. Ian's two sons, Alexander and Stuart, also work in the family business.
Our main office is located in Fraserburgh, where we have have a new 300 seat Chapel that can be used for religious and non-religious services.We also have another office, Buchan Funerals, in Mintlaw. Both of which cover the whole of the North East of Scotland and offer 24 hour service.
Our aim is to treat every funeral with our fullest care and attention and to be there for you in time of bereavement. All of our friendly and professional staff understand how difficult a time this can be and we are dedicated to providing you with quality support and guidance.
