Peter Oakman
It is with deep sorrow that the Oakman family announces the passing of Peter Oakman which occurred in Greece on 29th September 2023, following a short illness. It was Lonnie Donegan who first called Peter “his rock” almost 40 years ago in recognition of Pete’s excellent skills as a bass player. This quality was also true in Pete’s personal life. He was “rock solid” as a husband to his beloved wife Ann; a caring father to his children- Steven and Matthew, and a doting grandfather to his grandchildren: Zakk, Jessica, Albert and Filip. A life so beautifully lived deserves to be beautifully remembered. Please join us as we celebrate the life of Peter.
