Thank you for visiting Pearce Funeral Services. We are an independent, family run funeral directors, providing a truly personal service for the people of Swindon, and all surrounding areas.
Our chapel of rest is located in Stratton St Margaret but we also have offices located in Groundwell Road, less than 300 yards walk from the Registrar in the town centre, making us the most conveniently located funeral director for families wishing to discuss funeral arrangements after registration.
Our chapel of rest is also easily accessed from the A419, providing a convenient link for families from all parts of the Swindon area.
Our service is provided by John Pearce DipFD MBIE, a dedicated funeral director with a wealth of knowledge and experience, gained over many years of serving bereaved families and achieving the recognised qualifications and professional memberships within the funeral profession. This knowledge and experience has been passed onto his dedicated staff to ensure that from the moment of your first contact with us and throughout the whole process of arranging a funeral you can be assured of receiving a service that will not compromise on quality.
We are here to help you in every way possible
We appreciate how difficult it is to cope with emotions when in a time of need. We are committed to providing a caring and courteous service that is approachable and responsive to your every requirement and concern.
By listening to you we will respectfully guide you, ensuring that the final act of saying goodbye is arranged in the way that reflects you and your loved one.
Many funeral directors require 'upfront' payments before a funeral takes place. We do not require a deposit or payment of any kind before the funeral takes place. This takes away any immediate pressure from you, giving you time and space to organise your affairs whilst making funeral arrangements.
Arrangements can be made wherever you would prefer. This could be done in the comfort of your own home, at our offices in Groundwell Road or at our chapel of rest in Ermin Street, Stratton St Margaret.
In 2011 our funeral service was included in The Good Funeral Guide, an independent consumer guide for the funeral industry. In 2013 and 2017 The Good Funeral Guide revisited us to ensure our high standards are maintained, following these visits they confirmed on both occasions that our high level of service and personal care of families and their loved ones continues.
As a result we are very proud to be able to say that we are included as a recommended funeral director in the guide until at least the year 2020, making us the first funeral director of only two in Wiltshire to be included in the guide and, with 9 consecutive years, the longest period of recommendation in the whole history of The Good Funeral Guide for the Wiltshire area.
This was after a full assessment of our services and practice. Charles Cowling, author of the guide, says "We only recommend those funeral directors who meet the most stringent criteria. Pearce Funeral Services has been included because they abide by the highest professional standards, offer all choices available, provide outstanding personal service, give relatives all the time they need and represent a superb financial value."
For your added re-assurance, we are members of, and abide by the code of conduct of The National Association of Funeral Directors (NAFD) and The National Society of Allied & Independent Funeral Directors (SAIF).
We are also members of the Funeral Arbitration Scheme and The British Institute Of Embalmers.
We also provide a range of related services including pre payment funeral plans, monumental masonry and an after care service.
