Edward Carter Funeral Directors

107 South Avenue, Abingdon, Oxfordshire, OX14 1QS
Edward Carter’s are proud to be the longest established family owned and run funeral directors in the Abingdon area. Serving the Oxfordshire community for so many years, the business is now run by Nigel Carter and his son Paul, helping family's with a completely bespoke service when arranging a funeral, along with a wide range of memorials to remember your loved ones by or if you are thinking about the future by way of a pre-paid plan. The history of the business goes back three generations to the early 1950’s when Edward Carter became a highly respected funeral director in Oxford. Edward’s proudest moment was arranging and directing Sir Winston Churchill’s burial in Bladon. We cater for all requirements, arranging the details of the funeral, from the practical elements, such as coffins, hearse and limousines to the church or crematorium, along with obituary notices, flowers, receptions, catering, service sheets, music requirements and any other requests that make the funeral the personal tribute that it deserves to be. Our business logo includes the words Commitment with Compassion, which sums up our approach to ensure your loved ones have the personal and dignified arrangements they deserve. Please feel free to contact us via telephone or email with any enquiries you may have, we are always here to help.
